Do You Love Hats?

This Bonnet is handmade by me (Sheila). I must say it

it was fun to make. I did end up with some really sore

fingers for a few days after making this one.

I started out cutting my design for the hat from Buckram.

Buckram is a very stiff thick fabric used to make threatical hats. Then I sewed (by hand) Millinery wire to the buckram. After

the frame was constructed, I then sewed and constructed the hat

from cotton fabrics and covered the frame.

The end result! I love it!
